activities in her class, and has
won many honors for her capabil-

act play, spelling, typing, and de-
clamation during her four years
in high school, and has held sever-
al class offices including Fresh-
man president, and Junior secre-
tary. This year she is editor of
the annual, An active member ot
the Drum and Bugle Corps, she
was drum major for two years,
and Assistant drum major for one
year. For the past three year*
she has had the highest average
in grades in her class, and will
probably receive that honor this
year also. She is an all-round
student with a very friendly per
sonality.

called gambling because you woulo
be taking a chance in getting the
privilege of batting first, but in
my opinion it is a good way to
settle an argument without any
trouble.
There are several ways ol
gambling some more serious than
others, although, gambling is gam
bling no matter in what way you
may practice it. Although in shoot-
ing dice for money or playing
cards for money, or anyway you
will gamble for money is in my
way of thinking the most serious
way of gambling.
You can, although turn any-
thing into gambling, basket ball
games, foot ball games, pool or
pretty near anything you can
mention.
I believe that gnod citizens do
not gamble because it is against
the law, and no one can be a
good citizen and not abide by the
laws that are set for him to abide
by. Again anyone with any princi-
ple would try to keep from any
sorce of gambling, because a gam

SENIOR ACTIVITIES
"Greetings, gates!" This will be
a more or less, abbreviated account
of the Seniors as six weeks tests
tvere held last week arid everyone
not eliminating the reporters of
course, was quite pushed for
time.
The date for Kid Day has been
changed from this Friday, 14th to
Thursday the 13th. The Senior
class has planned a program a-
round this occassion to be held
at the High School activity perioo.
This program ought to be very
amusing as with every member
of the Senior class, appropriately
dressed of course, participating.
I think every member of the Sen-
ior class has been looking for-
ward to this <ver since they reach-
ed High School. Civics Day will
be the 2f>th of April. Plans for
the Civics class to go to Austin
have been made. The date for
Senior Day has not been made
as yet.
At the Senior class meeting
Thursday, it was decided that the
Senior class should have a class
play. It was also decided that
every member of the class will
take part either in the cast or in
the production crew. The name
of the play has not been decided
nor the date of the time it will
be held.
Frank, you certainly don't be-
lieve in staying with one girl do
you ? You look as though now
that you have changed you're mind
to a great extent. You were seen
with that same Junior all week-
end.
