community attended the parade
and at least one night of the
rodeo.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Whitworth
and children were Sunday
guests.
Mr. and Mrs. John Hefner vi-
sited with Mr. and Mrs. Gar-
land Hefner Saturday night.
Mi-ss Rozelle Alexander of
Austin spent Wednesday night
with hei parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Dec Alexander.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Lee and
children visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Jimmy Anderson and fami-
ly Saturday night.
Mrs. Lillie Rucker spent Sun-
day afternoon in Bastrop with
Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Hoskins.

: trop. County of Bastrop, State
; of Texas, that there shall be
and is hertlevied and shall
be collected for the City of Bas-
trop, Texas, for the year 19">4
city taxes as follows:
City Ad Valorem Tax seventy-
five cents (75c); City Street fif-
ty cents (50c I each on the one
hundred (lOOl dollars of the
cash value thereof, estimated in
the lawful currency of the Unit
ed States of America, or. all real
property situated in and on all
personal property in the City
of Bastrop, Bastrop County. Tex
as, on the first day of January '
i A. D. 19">4 and on al! personal ,
property sent out of the city1
for the purpose of avoiding the
payment of taxes thereon, ar.d
, afterward.- returned to the city,
except so much thereof as may
be exempt by the City Ordinance |
I or by the Constitution and Laws j
i of this State; which cash value
i shall be estimated in the man
ner prescribed by law.
And the City of Bastrop, Ba-
trop County. Texas, shall assess
and collect an occupation tax
of one-half <12) of amount
now charged by the State of
Texa- on all occupation taxes
; on which the State of Texas
j now collects an occupation tax
for the year 1964.
Be it further ordained that
this, the foregoing ordinance
shall be in force and effect from

pa sage.
