RAYMOND G. BOGARDUS
"Characters In
Gay" Will Be
Given Wednesday
Raymond G. Bogardus will
present "Characters in Clay" at
the high school gym at 8:45 a.
m., Wednesday, March 21. The
public is cordially invited to at-
tend. There is no admission
charge.
Raymond G. Bogardus, in pre-
senting "Characters in Clay,"
brings to you his many years
of exeprience on the professional
dramatic stage. He has made
an exhaustive study in this field,
and has perfected a means of
presenting his artistry to the
public in such a manner that
education and amusement are
combined into a very entertain-
ing and educational demonstra-
tion.
Mr. Bogardus, using over nine-
ty pounds of clay, creates a
series of giant size heads of
famous people and story book
characters. Only the bare hands
are used in molding the faces
and it is done with remarkable
speed and accuracy. The brief
commentary of clay and some
of its many uses will be especial-
ly interesting to those who mod-
el for pastime and very enligh-
tening and entertaining to those
who know little of clay sculptur-
ing. There is sufficient humor
and action during the demon-
stration to hold the attention of
any audience.
To note the deft delineation
of the artist and at the same
time hear his practical, pithy
and pertinent comments on both
the methods used and the rela-
tive importance ol the character
represented gives one a feeling
of deep satisfaction. He carries
his own public address system
and his work is of sufficient
size to be easily seen in the
largest auditorium.
