home of Mrs. Harold Heliums.

meeting which was opened with

Roll call was answered by

and approved.

was postponed until a later

Mr. and Mrs. K. R. Alexand-1
er presented to the club a flag
to be placed at the Cedar Creek
, Community Center. The club
presidi nt accepted the gift of
the fla« and the club voted to
purchase a stand for same. The
, elub sent cards to Mrs. Louis j
J. Lincnberger and Mrs. Floyd
Martin.
Miss Georgia Edwards assist-
ant training agent brought the
demonstration, using slides to
picture various types of kitchen
| arrangements, bed room, sewing
rooms, living rooms ami any
part of the home where storage
space may be used to the best!
advantage.

coined by the club. Mrs. C. A. i

Also Mrs. W. N. Rice, Smith-

August is family and com-
munity month. The club voted
to plan a get-together of the
families in the community with
a program and recreation ap-
ptopiate for all age groups on
Friday night,, August 17 at the
Cedar Creek Community Cen-
ter.
During the recreation period
a white elephant sale was held
with Mrs. Joe 11 Ray Jr. and
Mrs. Lee Alexander auctioneers.
The club will give one half of
the proceeds to the Cedar Creek
4-H Club.
The members and guests were
invited to tour the hostess' home
which is one of the new homes
in Cedar Creek and is complete-
ly furnished with all new fur-
nishings.
Delicious refreshments, con-
sisting of several kinds of cook-
ies, candy and punch were
served to the following guests,
members, 4-Hers and the agent,
Miss Edwards, Mrs. Tom Hen-
dtix of Bastrop, Mrs. C. A. May-
nard, Mrs. Joe II. Ray Jr., Mrs.
Charlene Mendell all of Austin,
Mrs. \V. N. Rice of Smithville.
