Raymond Blackwopd, captain of the
Crosbyton Chiefg during the past
football season, won a b^rth on the
AU-District Class B football squad,
he being placed at tackle.
This team was chosen by the coa-
ches of the district, at a recent meet-
ing for that purpose. Robert Work,
captain elect, feel short only one vote
of making the mythical eleven at cen-
ter position. Another chief who ran
a good race for the All-District
cond team was "Cotton" Wilson
was barely hosed Out by other
of the district.
As there were over- 100 players
in competition for places on these
twe squads, the Chiefs placed more
than the average team, and rat&f

GOOD PROSPECTS
When asked what he thought about
things in general, A. Pinkerson, gin
man, said Monday that we had the
best prospects he had ever seejiJ|iere.
Mr. Pinkerton came here in 1925.
"I think I could be safe in making
preparations to gin a big crop next
year," he: said. - Mr. Pinkerton owns
the Watson gin and is in the heart of
a wonderful rich agriculture country
and lots of cotton is raised there in
normal times. ^

< "DOGGONE" -v
Hello friends.! This Is old man
Newman on the air.- agaiiT" friends.
You know I have not been in any kind
of businesss for a year. I quit, or
rather they made me do it and while
resting I tried to figure out what
would be the best thing that I could
do, and dcided to open up one of these
here "Credit Banks." Well, I got all
my laws and by-laws written and
then visited the various "centers" to
get my "credit," when I was inform-
ed that the supply was exhausted and
the demand was filled, so I was blown
up again and had to change my mind,
and as large bodies move' slow this
took some time but I finally put it
over with the. result that I should go
into the second hand business <agi
where the supply, I believe, is f<
equal to the demand.
So come to see me in the Aynes
Block, South Side Square, Crosbyton,
Texas. ■ I
