Dear friend He rre ra:
I did not return, from my Denver trip
to Dallas until yesterday, hence the delay in wiring
you my acceptance to participate on the program of
November 5. 1 hope my acceptance was not to late.
I certainly want to appear on your program.
I wish you would write me and tell me
more about the final arrangements and send me a copy
of the official program. 1 also wish you would reserve
a room for me at the Rice Hotel for Saturday night.
The title of my address is still "The Last Measure of
Devotion." You can put it in your program if it is
not too late, I am writing the speech, out and will send
you a copy by the middle- of next week.
Please keep me informed of developments.
