Received your announcement of November 30. 1952 and I
hope we get some response. Later on this week I will get my
message which I want you to substitute for the one previously
sent, I hope we get some response for cur Lulac Ne> s so that
we will not have to double up anymore, Abo t the Texas Good
Neighbor Commission, as I have not been invited to attend I do
not think that it would be good taste for us to go,
I am now preparing the invitations for our big Lulac
dance here on December 21st, I talked to Lucian /dams when we
organized Port Arthur the 23rd of November, Incidentally, they
are Port Arthur Lulac Fen's Council Ho, 217 and we swore in about
fiftyfive members and installed their officers. You should get
the roster very soon* Lucian is going to attend our dance,
December 21st where some of our contestants will be introduced.
If you can make it and bring some of your contestants we can
sjlve it thenecessary bally-hoo. We are going to have Macario
Garcia also as a guest of honor and I would like for you to see
if you can also get Cleto Rodriguez to come as the guest of
honor« We are going to have the Mayor and other officials. This
will be for Sunday, December 21st and we are going to have Jesse
Gonzales and his band from San Antonio. By the way, be expect-
ing a Proclamation from me calling the Supreme Council Meeting
at Carlsbad, New Mexico for January 1? and IB of 1953- You
should write to Frank Pinedo, our *exrs Regional Governor and
also have bis Proclamation for the Regional Convention at San
Antonio so that everyone can be making preparations. Please
tell Mungia that I received the Lulac placards and that as soon
as I receive the Christmas cards that I ordered, I will send him
a check for the whole business. I have sent Ero. Patlan, president
of the Seguin Council their new charter which is No. 215* I
