Friday, Nov. 24.
Rev. I, A. Smith, new pastor of
the Methodist church, arrived last
Friday from Arney, and Sunday
night preached his initial sermon De-
fore the local congregation.
The Church Sociable held at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. 8. T. Bell in
this city last Friday evening was
well attended.
J. L. Wilson of Hereford was in
Dimmitt last Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. J W. Alexander
visited in Hereford Tuesday.
Judge Kerr made the run to Tulia
Tuesday in his auto.
Louis Dyar of Hereford visited in
Dimmitt se\eral days of ibis week.
Mrs. W. R. Biddle is having a
well bored at her home in Dimmitt.
The Turrentine Bros, of Hereford
are doing the work.
Attorney Dodson of Hereford at-
tended to business in Dimmitt last
Saturday. He made the run on his
motorcycle-
Mr. Gollehon and family of Ten-
nessee have moved to Dimmitt and
have rented a house ia the east part
of town.
Tuesday of this week C. J. Mapes
sold his lamb crop consisting of 1800
to a Tulia man, consideration being
$4,000.
Mrs. Allen Bell of Hereford spent
the last of last week with B. T- Bell,
Sr., in this city. She returned to
Hereford Sunday evening.
Frank Querry from ten miles west
of town was among his friends in
Dimmitt last Saturday. He says
that the ducks have destroyed fifteen
acres of his milo maize crop.
Mr. Cooper of Parker county has
been visiting his two sons, Cam and
Frank Cooper eight miles east of
town, for the past several days. He
visited W. R. Woodburn and family
in Dimmitt last Sunday.
G. W. O'Brien sold $10,000 worth
of steers to William Tod 1 of Tulia
last Saturday He also shipped two
car loads to the Kansas City market.
S. H Roush of Spring Lake went
to Hereford Monday wtth a load c I
