will probably bear interest at the rate
of H per cent. However, the time
within which to make the deferred pay-
ments and the rate of interest haa
not been definitely determined at this
time
The^mount of |aivliig that will be
done will depend very largely on what
the l 'ommldfcners' Court will he sill.
Ina to do In recard to paving around
the Court House If the ('otnmlsetno*
er*' Court will lie willing to take care
of its share of the f>xprn*e in paving
the three sides of the t'ourt House
and in addition would take care of
the City's portion of paving those
three sides, so that tlie City could
spend its money at some other place,
then It would he possible to pave a*
much as fourteen and isisslhly fifteen
hlocka. But If the Commissioners'
Court should refuse to ls«ar any part
of the expense of [laving on either
aide of the court house, thia would
compel the city to ahandon the Idea of
paving any part of those streets bor-
dering the court house, and would cut
down the number of bloek* that It
would he possible to pave to eleven at
the very outside and possibly to as
few aa nine or ten.
In round numhers. the city will have
to stand one-third of the total expense
and the city can furnish aliout $20.
oon on
It should be added that the money
furnished by the city will Is- taken
care of by n warrant issue against
the s|ss-Ih! street tux nf I.V on the
One Hundred Dollars and the tax t y-
er will not l* requlnsl to psy an> ad

which will drain the lake and Into
