Top Secret Affair
Top Rated Comedy
"Top Secret Affair" a comedy-
of-the sexes from Warner Brothers
starts its post run Suftday at
theater Nr. 4.
The film stars Susan Hayward
and Kirk Douglas in the roles of
the major opponents. Paul Stewart
and Jim Backus are also starred.
Douglas is "Tough" General
A reportedly delightful comedy
"Top Secret Affair" is the story
of the army's toughest general as
he is put through the toughest
BASIC training in the world by a
beautiful but-even-tougher publish
er. Kirk Dpuglas as the heroic
general with the nickname of
"ironpants" has been named for
a top diplomatic post which Susan
Hayward wants someone else to
have. When Miss Hayward launch
es a campaign to discredit Doug
las the fun really begins.
"Top Secret Affair" was directed
by H. C. Potter and produced by
Martin Rackin.
A Versatile Actor
Douglas who did some vigorous
boxing in "Chamipion" drove a
racing car expertly in "The
Racers" and fearlessly battled
Indians on horseback in "The
Indian Fighter" was certain he
wouldn't be called upon to display
his athletic prowess in this comedy-
of-the-sexes with a New York and
Washington setting.
A partial listing of Douglas' ac
tivities in the film proves how
wrong he was. During the first
week of production he was requir-

Hayward Get Bounced
Another day was spent balancing
on a bongo board. The same even
ing he had to plunge Into a swim

while in another lively sequence
he had to throw the beautiful red
head into the air while imparting
the art of Judo to her.
Then during a round of night
clubs Douglas does a vigorous
samba with Miss Hayward and
ends up crashing into a table.
