The Masonic Hail Grunewald ILUl Ex-

cf the magnificent buildings with their

lion ball and banquet Wednesday night a

words for Texas and her gallant Knights.
Ivanhoo Commandery No. 8 Bryan Texas
C. Davis E. C gave one of tho grandest
suppers Tuesday sight December 1 at the
; United States Restaurant that New Orleans
culd. furnish. All of the grand oOiccis
were present and about thirty Sir Knishts
from different parts of the State. . Visiting
. members were present from Missouri Iowa
Wisconsin acd 3!ich!gan by special invita-
tion. ; The grand officers James Sorely P.
O. C and General of Grand Encampment;
. H. B. Richardson G. C; E. O. Brown D.
. O. C.; L. JL Opcnhcimer O. G.; H. B.
JStoddard G. W. and D. Owens G. pre-
sided at one end of the table ana tho offi-
cers of Ivanhoo No. 8 at the other. The
labia fakir groined under its weight of
luxuries; game turtle oysters and fish
. were served up in a variety of forms; cakes
pea tries frniu and wines of every variety
were brought on each in their turn from

: ship and honor. Toasts were given and re-

looking landlord of tho Avenuo Hotel was

very able remarks upon the hospitality of

wero seen hurrying along the streets in
squsds preparatory to getting into ljne or
forming for tho grand review. Bands were
playing and banners flying from nearly all
of the public buildings and business houses
as they marched down and formed in divis-
' Ions on Canal street. Tho boulevard was
.'crowded for squares by visitors many of
' them representatives of the fair sex. Clay
statua was parked with pcoplo from the
.tone steps to tho pedestal; the sidewalks
: and galleries were thronged with people.
Tho procession fully two miles in length
"-''marched through all of - the principal
y streets ' forming crosses squares and tri-
; angles as they jmssed along. For more than
"' eight rmleg the streets sidewalks and gal-
leries were thronged with people. Cheer
after cheer went up and bouqnets were
showered down' on ' tho heads of the Sir
Knights as they marched on to tho music of
Dixie and other national airs. At 4 o'clock
"'the procession broko up and each division
ttiarchod ' to its headquarters. Friday
- nlghtnud Saturday the steamers and special
i trains bore oft the Sir Knights enchouc
" carrying to his homo tho most pleasing
' memories of tho Crescent City.
Tho next triennial conclave will meet in
