Second Mississippi regiment in July

Mr. E. P. Lyle a few days since re
ceived the sad Intelligence of the death
of his mother Mrs. M. A. Lyle which
occurred lu Macon Missouri on the
loth Instant It has scarcely been two
woeks sluce he received tidings of the
death of his father and his younger
brother Mr. Johu W. Lyle immedi
ately left for Missouri to pay the last
sad rites to his memory when tbe
crushing affliction of his mother's
death Is visited upon him. Mrs. Lyle
survived her husband but teu days.
