"Rosemonts" Win Friday's Game
and the Cremos'' Take
Saturday's.
Friday's game was easy. Teas
for the. Wichita aggregation proved
about the weakest twirter that has
appeared against the locals.
"Rosemount cigars were all the
go everybody smoked 'em while
theopposition refused to be smoked.
The game was uninteresting from
the fact that it was entirely too
one-sided. Burn's and Kitchen's
home runs were the features. t

SATURDAYS GAME.
If you hadn't have seen I'm sure
you wouldn't have believed it but
it's an actual fact; it happened.
For twelve innings they worked
like Trojans both teams and it was
not till the last man was out in the
last half of it that there was a
shadow of a doubt that the locals
would lose. Every man bad blood
in his eye though and it's not be
cause they didn't try.
The game was close all down the
line and interesting as base tall can
be. Errors were few and really
only one costly one was made.
Lower for the visitors did some
excellent slab work and seemed as
fresh the twelfth as he did the first.
Lewis for the locals was in the box
again the fourth consecutive day
and his twelve innings twirling was
exceptional. Abrogast and Fran-
ces both did creditable work receiv-
ing and the support accorded both
batteries was pronounced excellent.
To say the crowd enjoyed the game
is putting it mildly.
The Rosemounts led with the
score of 4 to 3 till the last half of
the ninth when it was tied. Two
more innings were played without
another count and then Galleher
for the visitors knocked a two bag-
ger and Parker did the same bring
ing his man home. Amarillo was
to bat the last half but failed to
connect with the sphere and thus
the game closed with the small
score of 5 to 4 in favor of Wichita.

NOTES & NOTIONS
OF THE GAME
The game Friday was too one
AaA f frnnA tft sniff if
The Cremos just went to pieces.
Francis the catcher for the
Cremos is not good looking so the
girls said but oh my! he is a natur-
al born when it comes to receiving.
Trolinger got four chances in
center all away up too and he
took them all. He said he wanted
another one but they wouldn't
knock it.
Lewis pitched four consecutive
games last week. Two at Clay-
ton N. M. and two on the local.
Lewis is a "beaut" when it comes
to being a slab artist and he's a
f avorite 'with the fans.
That left hand catch by Burns
was the kind that makes 'em hol-
ler. Didn't you? Well I guess.
"Wee Willie" took a chase out of
town last week and came back
"all smiles He pitched three
games and won all.
Everybody smoked "Rosemount"
cigars Friday and Saturday. Go
buy yourself one and you'll feel
better. Nobles Brothers are dis
tributors.
Lower for the Wichita team
pitched a good game Saturday and
had the boys guessing some of the
time. He's an ex-leagwer too.
Two out of twenty games Is not
bad losing. It wouldn't do to - take
all the garnet. Thats the consola
tion for last Thursday and Satur
day.
Burn's two bagger Saturday was
the limit in the game. Home runs
and three baggers were bid (or at a
high rise but jet nothln dolnV
"Nobody smokes Cremos" was
the fans and rooters hurrah and
around.
Hutchison for the Wichitas
formerly coach at the State Uni
versity and later at Princeton
holds the third station down fine.
He pitches a good game too
The tans got tneir money 8
worth Saturday and don't forget
it. A more enjoyable game has
never been played on the local dia-
mond than that 12 inning one.
Frank Ong umpired jthe games
all three of them and they all got
justice too but didn't want to
think so for awhile it was either
play ball or get down and out.
Abrogast has returned to Can-
yon City to play. He is a good
catcher and a safe batter. We
need him.
Hester has gone too. He is
back with Roswell. Another safe
batter and a good all round olayer.
So far there are no games ar
ranged for this week to the disap-
pointment of the fans.
Go down and buy yourself a
Rosemount and be happy.
