vat Wichita Kails as the place for
folding the democratic convention
for th. Twenty-ninth senatorial dis-
trict oa the fourth Saturday In Au-
gust. 1906 for the purpose of nomi-

Indianapolis. Ind. Aug. 13.- -Delegates
from all over this country and

companies in attendance from outside
of the state. The Pythian Temple
Commit teo will meet Friday to decide
on a location for the $30000 temple
to be eroded soon. This city will
make a strong bid for the edifice
with Chicago Us chief rival. The
conclave will close Friday night with
a military hall and banquet. It Is
estimated that the attendance at the
conclave Is more than 3000.
Wyoming Frontier Day Celebration.
Cheyenne Wyo. Aug. 13. Chey
enne s annual Frontier Day s cele-
bration opened ' auspiciously this
morning with thousands of visitors
in the city. Special trains me being
run every few hours from ueuver
and are constantly adding to the
crowds. The program for this after-
noon and tomorrow include the
world's championship rough riding
and a steer roping contest and other
novel features which have made the
Frontier Day's celebration the most
famous In the west. The wildest
outlaw horses In the state have been
secured for the contests and large
purses will bo hlvcn. Many Indians
from the reservation have been
brought here and are encamped In
tepees. An Indian squaw rnee steer
race cowgirl's race and the Fron
tier Derby are the features this after
noon.
