"Girl Makes Good" is the title of
this story. Last year Jane
Peters, above, of Canton, Ohio,
won ihe title of "Miss Ohio
State University" and with it a
screen test in Hollywood. She
waited so long there for a de-
cision on the test that she be-
came discouraged and started
home just as the iilm moguls
decided she'd do. They had to
chase her across the country to
give her a contract. Now she has
been tapped for the coveted role
of Catana in the forthcoming
him, "Captain Fiujn Castile."

By
FRANK
SHEPHERD
Let us begin to address our-
selves to the question what
MUST I DO to be saved as an-
swered by the Holy Ghost in-
spired apostles after the NEW
covenant became binding. In
other words. "What must I do
NOW to be saved?" N'ot what the
rich .soting ruler was required to
do under the Alosiac dispensa-
tion and while Christ was oil
earth.
We are not concerned with
what the thief oil ihe cro-s did.
or what the Christ during his
lifetime on earth did for him
Since the conversation with the
thief the Christ had laid down
his life as a propitiation for sins
He has been exhauited to ALL
power or authority in heaven
and in earth. The NEW cove-
nant has become effective and
binding. .Men are now subject to
that NEW covenant. The Law
of .Moses under which the thief
and the Christ lived and died Ikis
been abrogated by God.
No man in this day and time
can be saved like the thief on the
Cross. No man today can place
himself under the same circum-
stances. .Jesus Christ himself to-
day could not save any man as
he may have saved the tlnef. The
reason being that today the Gos-
pel is THE power of God to save.
What God has bound now not
even the Christ would assay to
lot ise.
