ADULTS CONTRACT CHILDREN'S
DISEASES
I
Adults can, and do, contract many
children's diseases. And, usually,
they suffer from them much more
than children do. For instance, many
adults contract worms, an ailment
usually associated with children.
Sometimes they suffer intensely and
take expensive medical treatments,
without realizing that worms are the
cause of their troubles. Yet, the
symptoms are the same as in child-
ren, loss of appetite and weight grind
ing the teeth and restless sleep, itch-
ing of the nose and anus, and abdo-
minal pains. And, the same medicine
that surely and harmlessly expels
round and pin worms from children
will do the same for adults—White's
Cream Vermifuge, which you can get
at—Moseley's Drug Store.

Mrs. Beatrice Meredith. W . M.
If you have any <;f lhe following symptoms,
I have the remedy no matter what your
trouble has been diagnosed: Nervousness,
stomach trouble, loss of weight, loss of sleep,
sore mouth, pains in the back "and shoulders,
peculiar swimming in the head, frothy-like
Eblegm in throat, passing mucous from the
owels, especially aftertaking purgative,burn-
ing feet, brown, rough or yellow skin, burning
or itching skin, rash on the hands, face and
arms resembling sunburn, habitual constipa-
tion, (sometimes alternating with diarrhoea)
copper or metallic taste, skin sensitive to sun
heat, forgetfulness, despondency and thoughts
that you might lose your mind, gums a fiery
red and falling away from the teeth, general
weakness with loss of energy. If you have
these symptoms and have taken all kinds of
medicine and still sick, I especially want you
to write for my
booklet.
Mrs. Katie Carmel Strond, Box 479, Pitts-
burg, Texas, whose picturc appears here, writes:
"In the Spring of 1927, my hands, arms and
legs broke out with something and I went to
■ee the doctor and he treated me for some time,
bat did not do me any good. A friend of mine
told me about you and your wonderful treat-
ment. I only took two treatments and I haven't
been bothered with that sickness any more. I
can eat and drink anything I want and it does
not hurt me. I wish everybody could know
about yonr wonderful treatments and know
what relief they would get after taking them."

Customers to Have Opportun-
ity of Purchasing Preferred
Share* in Campaign, Beginning
October 7th.
Customers and other friends
of the Dixie Gas and Fuel Com-
pany will be offered an oppor-
tunity to share in the ownership
and earnings of the company, ac-
cording to an announcement by
Mr. W. B. Currey. general man-
ager.
Beginning Monday, and for
twelve days, employees will take
orders for the $7.00 Preference
shares of the Dixie Gas & Utili-
ties Company of which the local
company is a part. Speaking
today, of the purposeof the cam-
paign. Mr. Currey said, "We are
offering these shares to our cus-
tomers and other friends of our
company because we believe in
customer-ownership."
We believe that the men and
women who make possible out-
earnings should have an oppor-
tunity to share in these earnings.
We feel that customer owner-
ship will be good for both our
customers and for our company.
The customer gains, because he
gets a safe place for his money
in an essential business, when
he can see it working every day,
right in his own community, and
where he has an opportunity to
share in the growth of both the
company and the community.
The company gains, because its
Customer-Owners will naturally
take a keener interest in the
company's service, and will be
more likely to make constructive
suggestions for improving that
service."
The employes of the local com-
pany have been busy preparing
themselves to interview as many
customers and friends as pos-
sible They will explain the
merits of the shares and the ben-
efits which may be gained by be-
coming a partner in the local
company and the other compan-
ies controlled by the Dixie Gas
& Utilities Company.
The Dixie Gas & Utilities Com-
pany, through these subsidiary
companies, engage in product-
