urday Matinee of the famous San
Carlo Grand Opera Company for this

Who will be the Queen? No one
i will know until her presentation at
j the coronation ceremonies on this

nation Ceremonies this year are to
be the most gorgeous of any event
over held anywhere. At the request
and invitation of Gov. W. P. Hobby
of Texas, the various Governors of
the different states of the Union have
designated young ladieB from their
respective states as Princesses to
the Queen of the Texas Cotton Pa!
ace, and these Princesses are to be
present in person with their maids
This is a groat compliment paid to
the State of Texas by th other
states, and especially a compliment
to the Texas Cotton Palace Exposi
tion, for it makes the Queen's Ball
and Coronation Ceremonies an event
of nation-wide Importance. In ad

and a Princess from Texas and Duch

Burglars Steal $40,000
Worth of Liquor
(By International News Service)
Chicago, Nov. 2—Eight burg-
lars crawled through a transom
today, bound and gagged the
watchman, and stole $40,000
worth of whiskey, gin and bran-
dy from the liquor warehouse of
Manny Blanc & Co.
More than two hours was us-
|ed by the burglars in hauling
away the plunder to two trucks.
Mesdames Will Barry, Joe Be-
vill and Misses Ruth Hines and
Clarice Barnard, have returned
from a visit to Cooiidge friends.
Mrs. De Leon Harp and little
daughter, Eva May, reached
home Monday from a visit to
relatives and friends in Dallas,
Sherman and Whitewright.
