Worth will speak at all services of
the Fellowship Baptist church Sun-
day, according to announcement.
Rev. Donnelson, wit lihis wife and
two children, are preparing to
sail for China in 4he very near fu-
ture as missionaries of the World
Fundamental Baptist Missionary
Fellowship. His father and mother,
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Donnelson, who
are now in China, and their daugh-
ter, l.ois, spent 20 months in a
Japanese prison camp during
Wt>rld War 11. Paul returned to
tiie States during the early part
of the war, and did not intend to
return to China, but believes God
has called him back.
The public is invited to attend
the services and meet Rev, Don-
nelson and his family.
Music Club Annual
Christmas Program
Is December 17
Final plans for its annual
Christmas program are being
rounded out by the Borger Music
club, according to announcement
made at the regular meeting of
the club Tuesday afternoon. The
concert, which will be open to
the public, is scheduled to be held
on December 17 in the Federated
club rooms.
The club also voted to help
sponsor the Texas Artist exhibit
which will be shown here in
March.
Harvey Herbst, Borger radio sta-
tion program director, announced
j plans for the opening of the sta-
j tion sometime in January, and
asked the club to present one of
the first programs.

Two Borger high school students
have entered the nation-wide
science talent search for the West-
inph< use science scholarship, and
will take their examinations to-
day at the high school science de-
partment. They nre Mabel Miller
and Bill Reus}.
Th .' Science Talent Search for
the Westinghouse Science Schol-
arship* is conducted annually by
Scicncc Clubs of America, admin-
istered by Science Service. The
purpose of the Search is to dis-
cover and foster the education of
boys ami girls with skill, talent
and creative originality in science.
Forty boys and girls who lead
in the preliminary examinations
will be given all-expense trips to
Washington to attend the Science
Talent Institute for five days and
take the final examinations for
the scholarships. Two contestants,
one bey and one girl, will be se-
lected by the board of judges to
receive West i n g h o u s « Grand
Science Scholarships of* $2,400
each <$600 per year f ir four years).
Eight more contestants will re-
ceive Westinghouse scholarships for
S400 <8100 a year for four years)
and S3,000 additional in scholar-
ship.1: will be awarded.
As part of the preliminary ex-
aminations, each contestant must
submit an essay of about 1,000
words on the subject "My Science
Project."

Mrs. Audrey Fowler entertained
the executive board and commit-
tee chairmen of Borger Business
and Professional Women's club at
a buffet supper Wednesday night
in her home, 517 Hedgecoke.
The serv ing table was centered
with an arrangement of red car-
nations flanked by lighted red
tapers in crystal holders.
Following the supper, Mrs.
Robert Benson, president of the
club, conducted a short business
meeting during which the secre-
tary and treasurer and the various
committee chairmen gave their
reports and an estimate of the
year's budget was presented and
accepted. Assistants to the com-
mittee chairmen were named and
program for the year outlined.

Rancher Given
20-Year Term
In Wife Slaying
MIDLAND, Tex.. Dec. 6—(/P)—
Ear] Hamilton Williams was eon-
victed last night by a 70th dis-
trict court iury of the murder of
his wife, Beulah, and sentenced
to 20 years in the state peniten-
tiary.
Testimony presented during the
trial told of a drinking orgy pre-
ceding the slaying and statements
Williams made to officers that ht
' jogged' his wife's head against
the lloor and the foot of a bed.
Williams, who took the stand
in his own defense, testified that
he loved his wile and did not in-
tend to kill her or any one else.
He said lie could not remember
events preceding the slaying.
Mrs. Williams' battered body
was found in the couple's ranea
home in Glasscock county July 7,
1046.
A previous trial for Williams at
Garden City resulted in a dead-
