ing's Intelligencer says : "It is un
deistood that within a few hours

Meado of Coventor Jenkins of
Georgia on account of his refusal to

gia nogro Convention out of tho
State funds General Grant express-
ed tho opinion that General Meado
had acted hastily and should not
havo removed Governor Jenkins
and that the Convention had no
right to be paid out ol the State
Treasury.
