61 - 88 Would like information about Samuel Blake SANDERS
ahd his family. iHe was born 11 March 1822, at Petersburg, Lincoln
b., TitN. He fought in the Mexican War.. Blake moved to Lawrencc
Co., AR. and married Malinda PEARCB/PICRCE, 12 Jily 1849. He later
moved to Sharp Co. AR. were he farmed until his death z8 Peb ~i0l1.
Blake is buried at Buchanan Cemetery near Center, AR. He and Malinda
had five children-- Elizabeth Jane, Sarah Frances, Amanda C., David,
and William Harrison. After the death of Blake Malinda lived in
Collin Co., TX. with her son David. She apparently died in Texas
but was probably buried in Arkansas. Dorothy SANDERS, 2608 Dengar,
Midland, TX. 79705.
62 - 88 Seeking information on the family of Christopher CHANEY
(ca 1795-1836) and his wife Rebecca (1800-?) of Washington County,
Virginia. They migrated to Sabine County, TX. in 1836 where he
died serving in the Texas Army. In 1846 they moved to Grimes County,
TX. All of their children were born in Virginia. They were Mahala
(ca 1817-?) who first married a NIXON and then married Daniel STUCKEY
in 1849; Francis S. (1818-1870) married Kexiah DAVIS in 1849 and
moved to Cleburne in Johnson CO., TX. where he died; Eveliza (1824-?)
married John w. CAUBLE and moved to Hill CO.. TX. where she then
married second brother-in-law Daniel STUCKEY in 1873; Elizabeth
married Thomas W. HUMPHRIES; Martha A. (ca 1830-?) married Elias
A. BURRELLin 1849, moved to Blanco Co., TX. and there married a
