Montreal Sept. 29. In conse
quence of tho inauguration of compul-
sory vaccination to-day at about 1
o'clock this evening n howling mob
surrounded the east bud brunch of the
health offlce and oomplotely wrecked

powerless and the mob gathering
strength from this marched on the
coutrul office in the olty hall. By this
