The Tifereth Israel Junior Club is
giving a masquerade dance on Wed-
nesday December the 3rd at Lake
Cliff Dallas Texas.
This club is an organization organ-
ized for the building of a new North
Dallas Synagogue.
At a recent meeting the First Roumanian-Austrian
Congregation of Dal-
las incorporated 1905 elected the fol-
lowing officers and trustees for the
ensuing year:

The First Roumanian-Austrian
Congregation has purchased the North
West Corner on Browder and Poca-
hontas streets and plans are being
made for the erection of a $50000
Synagog building.
Rabbi David Bresler is organizing a
class for the study of the Talmud and
will soon announce the day for mak-
ing application to these sessions for
study.
Rabbi Charles Blumcnthal Super-
intendent of the Dallas Hebrew school
will arrange for the removal of the
school to the building at Browder and
Pocahontas as soon as possossein may
be had and arrangements are now un-
der way for the staging of a Chanu-
ka play in which the school children
will participate during December.
The building on the site will be
used until the $50000 building fund
has been fully subscribed and building
operations will commence soon there-
after. It is contemplated that an an-
nex will also be erected to house the
various institutions including a large
swimming pool and Turkish bath.
HISTADRUTII IVRITH.
a club which serves as a headquarters
for the Hebraists of Baltimore.
A successful attempt was made to
organize the Hebraists among the stu-
dents of the John Hopkins University.
In the interest of the campaign to
raise a quarter of a million dollars for
the purpose of increasing Hebrew ac-
tivities in this country the Histadruth
New York: A mass meeting was
held recently in the auditorium of the
Ezra Hebrew School Bronx. Mr. Ab-
raham Goldberg executive secretary
of the Histadruth Dr. J. Epstein and
Rabbi N. Wolf addressed the assembly
All the speakers emphasized the need
of spreading the Hebrew language
among the Jews of America and ex-
plained the purposes and alms of the
Histadruth Ivrith as well as its plans
for the immediate future. At the end
of the meeting a new Hebrew Society
was formed in that neighborhood.
Another meeting was held in Plain-
field N. J. under the auspices of the
Society "Sfaseun." A large assembly
listened to Mr. Abraham Goldberg
who represented the Histadruth at
that meeting.
In East New York there was re-
cently held a meeting at the "Glory
of Israel" at which Rabbi A. Geleh-
rcnter Mr. Abraham Goldberg and
Mr. K. Whiteman delivered addresses
of various phases of the Hebrew lan-
guage and its revival. As a result of
this meeting the Ivrim Society of East
New York gained additional fifteen
members.
News has arrived from Baltimore
that the local Achiever Society opened

well known communal worker Mr.
