F. O. P. CLUB NOTES.
Sam Neusner Editor.
Our ball team is taking a vacation
as most of our players are out of
town. Come on boys let's get in some
practice and give the Dallas boys a
chance once more.
We want to have another smoker
and we invite the T. O. O. Club of Dal-
las to come over and we challenge you
now in boxing or swimming. Will you
accept the challenge?
We hear that the Y. M. H. A. are
going to have an affair and we would
like to come over and show you what
a bunch of live wires we are.
Corsicana beat Dallas and Waco in
ball and we beat Corsicana. Who is
ahead?
Nathan Persky has become a butch-
er and grocery man and we all wish
him the best of success.
At our next meeting the following
men will be initiated: Sam Neusner
George Weinsteln Razor Miller and
Jack Breacher.
To the Readers of the Jewish Monitor
in Fort Worth.
Where it our Y. M. H. A.? Have we
got one ? Is Waco any better than we
are? We have several clubs but not
one large enough to call Y. M. H. A.
We have a home the Hebrew Insti-
tute but no one to live in it. What did
we build the Gym for? To stay emp- .
ty all the year around? While we do
nothing but fool around let us organ-
ize a real Y. M. H. A. We need one
bad. Our Jewish boys are drifting
from Judaism. Come on folks show us
young men that you have the pep to
give us a send off. We appeal to you.
Do not let us go without a little en-
couragement. There are twenty-five
young men that are willing to give
their time and labor to make an ex-
cellent Y .M. H. A. Club. Will you join
us in our good work? Reformed and
Orthodox Jews alike we are calling
on you to organize a Y. M. H. A. so
that the Jewish fire may be kindled
higher. If you want to join the Y. M.
H. A. get in touch with Sam Neusner

las will manage this store and Mr.
Robert Goodman of this city will act
as his assistant. According to plans
Mr. Weinkrantz will not let money
stand in the way of making this store
the finest exclusive hat shop in townv
Mr. Neusner is supervising the work
of the remodeling and states he will
be opened for business before August
25 1921.
Visiting Girls Leave for Home.
Misses Ida Goldberg Flo Cohen and
Ida Abram left for Shreveport La.
on Monday afternoon after spending
several weeks here as guests of Mr.
and Mrs. Harry Bucksteln 1921 Hur-
ley Avenue.
A Challenge to the T. 0. 0. Club of
Dallas.
In last week's issue of the Monitor
we note hat you claim championship
honors on the diamond. We the F. 0.
P. Club of Fort Worth admire your
nerve and courage but can you hon-
estly say that you ever defeated our
team in a fair and square game? You
defeated several pick up teams in our
city but they never played under the
name of F. 0. P. Several weeks ago
we went to Dallas to play your club
and it was understood that only merer
bora of both clubs could participate in
said game but to our great surprise
we discovered you had in your line-up
several men who did not belong to
your club. After long deliberation we
decided to play the gamn anyhow. Al-
though we were defeated we played
the game under protest. W did net
want to dissappoint your club but we
claim openly that you wero unfair to
us by using ringers nun like Jake
Banks a semi-pro star and Jake Ro-
motsky and several othen. But to get
back to facts we deny your claim to
state honors and hereby challinjro you
to a series of three to five games
Games where only club members can
play. Wo will admit hat you have a
good pitcher in Sleepy Byers and a
star first baseman in Hyman Wald-
man but outside of these two men and
the possible exception of two moro
players it is oun estimation that the
rest of your men could not win honors
in a Ping Pong tournament. Bring
your team over. Keep the ringers out '
and try to play s fair and square ball
game and see if you can win a game.
Keep one of your members off of tho .
umpires and play ball instead of aigu- .
ing and if you win a series off of us .
you can pick the best hats in Fort
