Miss Willie Fay Hughes, teach-
er in the Oletha school, returned
Saturday from San Marcos where
she has attended Southwest Texas
State Teachers College during the
summer, and also the winter term.

Miss Phalvia Steele of Thornton
spent Friday night visiting her
son, Deans Steele and family.

family, of Jewett, spent Saturday

Mr. and Mrs. Algie Sadler and
Mis. Abbie Gibson of Mexia visit-
ed Mr. Sadler's parents, Mr. and

Mr. Will Richardson is still ill,
but we hope he will soon be well.

little'daughter of Fort Worth, vis-
ited her grandmother, Mrs. J. D.

with fever, but we hope she will

Ainsworth Leaves
for Foot Treatment
J. G. (Doc) Ainsworth left
Monday for the United States
Marine hospital in Galveston,
Texas, to receive treatment for
a broken foot. He broke his foot
last December. He will be gone
about 30 days, he said. Ainworth
was a candidate for Constable
in precinct 4 in the first primary.
