July 5 - 8, 1995
To My Western Area Links Family -
This is my final report to you as the Western Area Director. The past four years of serving you
have been an energizing, enriching, fulfilling and enjoyable experience. My sincere thanks to you for
electing me to serve you and for giving me the unending support that was needed in order to serve
you well.
The record of this administration has been one of which we can all be proud. The area officers
and chairs provided the kind of leadership /teamwork which made things happen. They cannot be
thanked enough for their consistent efforts and support. Through our deliberations, we set goals,
provided objectives, planned programs and executed them.
I share with you a Summary of Accomplishments.
* Networking with outside Agencies to provide service.
-JCPenney provided financial support as well as supplying shoes for inner city residents.
This project was collaborated with the Urban League for efficiency in dispensing the shoes.
-"Christmas in April" - collaboration with other agencies to fix-up living quarters for
lower income inner city residents.
-Anheuser Busch Companies provided support and financial assistance in promoting
programs in the West.
* Supporting National
-Contributed funds remaining from Area Conference ($6700.00) to help foster and
promote Project Lead - High Expectations.
-Sponsored workshops conducted by Link Flavia Walton giving an opportunity for more
Western Area Chapters to be informed of its organizational structure and functioning process.
