ON BEING A LINK. ............... THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW!
--A request for membership transfer is the responsibility of the Link who
wishes to transfer--not the chapter. Such requests should be sent to the
Links national office for processing (this is an action between the member
and The Links Inc.) However, the Area Director and the Vice Area Director
(area membership chairman) will assist with and facilitate any membersiip
actions. Please feel free to call us at anytime.
--All changes in chapter membership or individual member changes e.g. address,
name change, leave of absence, etc. should be sent to the Area Director and
the National Office as soon as it occurs. There are forms for this so make
sure that your chapter has a supply, and PLEASE use them.
--Chapter Program plans for 1983 should be sent to the Area Director and the
Area Program chairmen by October 30..
--REMINDER! Our goal set in September 1981 was that by the 1983 Area Confe-
rence, ALL Link chapters would be implementing Umbrella projects with skill.
Please continue to work on this, It is attainable!!!
--Chapters should plan to include one dollar ($ 1.00) in addition to national
dues for those members who want to continue as members of the Link Foundation.
This will become due prior to April 1, 1983 when national dues are submitted.
--Chapters can and should receive local grants and major donations through The
Link Foundation. It is not necessary for individual chapters to establish
their own foundation. CHECK WITH THE NATIONAL FOR THE PROCEDURES.
--The Link History is still available at $15.00 per copy. Please order yours
today.
--Link documents e.g. Constitution/Bylaws, Procedure Manual, Program Manual,
Ritual Manual, Public Relations Brochures, etc. are necessary for assuring
that your chapter operates well within the national guidelines. If you do
not have these, you may order them from the national office.
