The Ebony Fashion Fair sponsored by Mu
Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha
Sorority Inc. begins at 8 p.m. March 20 at

can and European fashions will be shown. Pro-
ceeds will help local scholarships. For tickets

Scarce accommodations
Soldiers and family members who expect
to travel to Atlanta Ga. July 19-Aug. 4 (dur-
ing the Olympics) should carefully plan every
aspect of their trip. It is anticipated that the avail-
ability of air rail and bus service will be se-
verely limited. Hotel/motel rooms are also ex-
pected to be scarce and very expensive at this
time. Leaders should notify their soldiers who
are preparing for PCS TDY or leave during
this time and help take precautions.
Pistol club
The Copperas Cove Pistol Club’s next
meeting and shoot is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
Saturday at the Deemer Range Facility 2901
Deer Flat Dr. in Copperas Cove.
The club emphasizes safe gun handling. All
weapons are holstered when not on the firing
line.
Cost to become a member is $15 a year.
Monthly meetings are the second Saturday of
each month.

Dinner theater
The play “Greater Tuna” will begin 8 p.m.
tonight at the Phantom Warrior Club. A buffet
dinner will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12.50.
The play is a tall tale of the hilarious events
of a day in Tuna Texas “the third smallest
town in the state” where the Lion’s Club is too
liberal and Patsy Cline never dies.
Sword of Orion
The Central Texas College Observatory will
be open 7:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday to view the
Sword of Orion. Viewing times are limited to
15 minutes per person. Cost is free. The obser-
vatory is located in Building 104 on the central
campus.

Host families
Fort Hood and the Heart of Texas West
Point Society need military and civilian fami-
lies to host members of the West Point Cadet
Glee Club March 18-20.
The cadets will stay overnight with the host
family and depart after breakfast March 20.
Families would be expected to provide trans-
port housing and meals.
Families interested in hosting a cadet should
contact Heather at the Greater Killeen Cham-
ber of Commerce at 526-9551.
8-ball tourney
The Phantom Warrior Club holds a Great
8-ball Tournament Shoot-out at 9 p.m. every
Wednesday. Entry fee is $3 and 100 percent
of the fee is returned to the top three finishers.
Sink the 8-ball and win a free lunch.

The Phantom Warrior Club holds a mem-
bers buffet 4:30-7:30 p.m. every Friday.
Music is provided by Dr. Disco. Mem-

Every Thursday night is ladies night at the

The popular German pastime event
Volksmarching has made its way to the
local area.
The Trotting Texas Turtles of Cop-
peras Cove a local Volksmarching
Club sponsors two to four events an-
nually in Central Texas. The group’s
next event is 8 a.m.- noon March 23-
24 at Stillhouse Hollow Lake’s Dana
Peak Park.
