Chapter 472 H.B. No. 460 1 AN ACT 2 relating to the board of directors of the Trinity Memorial Hospital 3 District. 4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: 5 SECTION 1i. Section 5(i), Chapter 265, Acts of the 67th 6 Legislature, Regular Session, 1981, is amended to read as follows: 7 (i) The board shall organize by electing one of its number 8 as president and one of its number as vice-president. A secretary, 9 who need not be a director, also shall be elected. Officers shall be 10 elected for a term of one year, and a vacancy shall be filled for the 11 unexpired term by the board. Any five [(fu] members of the board 12 constitute a quorum, and a concurrence of five [f-e-] is sufficient 13 in all matters pertaining to the business of the district. All 14 members of the board and officers serve without compensation but 15 may be reimbursed for actual expenses incurred in the performance 16 of their official duties if those expenses are approved by the board 17 and reported in the minute book of the district or other records of 18 the district. 19 SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives 20 a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as 21 provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this 22 Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this 23 Act takes effect September i, 2011.
