wife Tammy of Orange and J.W. Jackson and his wife Jane of Beaumont.
Jerry D. Detrick, 70, of Bridge City passed away January 4, 2009 at Wuesthjoff Hospice
and Palliative Care Unit in Rockledge, Florida. He was born on October 25, 1938 in
Dayton, Ohio to parents Byron and Catherine Detrick. Jerry was a 30 year resident of
Bridge City. A United States Air Force veteran, He was preceded in death by his
parents, daughter; Melissa Milligan, and brother-in-law, Michael P. McManus of
Okeechobee, FL. He is survived by his son, Stephen E. Detrick and wife Sharon of
Merritt Island, FL; sister Nancy L. McManus of New Carlisle, OH, and former wife
Bobbie Detrick of Uniontown, OH.; also seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at Claybar Funeral Home, 800 Highland Drive, Bridge
City, TX on Satureday, January 17, 2009 at 200 p.m. by pastor Keith Royal of Winfree
Baptist Church.
Johnnie M. "Pete" Linder, Sr., 89, of Bridge City, died on January 13, 2009, at his
home. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 15, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at Claybar
Funeral Home in Bridge City. George Stone will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest
Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Mr. Linder was born on November 13, 1919, in
Randolf, LA to Charles O. and Artie Byron Linder. He worked at Ameripol Synpol for
33 years as an operator. He was a veteran of WW II, stationed in Puerto Rico and
obtained the rank of Staff sergeant. Johnnie was a member of the First Baptist Church in
Bridge City. He is preceded in death by his parents, infant son, Sary Leo; sister Thelma
Thurman and brothers, Garland "Sam" Linder; Cecil "Cotton" Linder and Owen Linder:
and one granddaughter. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Floy Linder; sons,
Johnnie "Skipper" Linder and wife Verna, and Larry Linder and his wife, Donna; sisters,
Ruth Platt, Helen Weaver, Marie Miller and husband, Lawrence and sister-in-law, Grace
Linder; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Jeanne M. Donahey, 81, of Orange passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Memorial
Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange. Mrs. Donahey, a homemaker, was born in Hornell,
New York and had lived in the Orange area for the last 47 years. Funeral services will be
conducted Friday, January 16, 2009 at 2;00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church in
Bridge City, TX with interment to follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park. Services are
under the direction of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange. Mrs. Donahey is survived by
her husband Valgene "Gene" Donahey of Orange, daughter Kathy Simmons and husband
Craig of Bridge City, and four sons Kenneth Donahey and wife Mary of Orangefield, R.
Charles Donahey and wife Millie of Houston, Timothy Donahey and wife Pauly of
Royal, Arkansas, and Kevin Donahey and wife Barbara of Port Neches. Mrs. Donahey is
also survived by 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.38
