in Fifty Third district court today en-
tered (in order assessing tho Security
Oil Company with pnaltlos of fifty
dollars a day from July 23 1903 to
November G 1907 when an injunction
stopped violations or the anti-trust
lay' confessed to yesterday by tho de-
fendants. Tho fines aggregate $74000
tho charter Is cancelled and tho com-
pany' perpetually enjoined from do-
jng business in tho state.
'Sf The Navarro Refining Company was
penalized fifty dollars dally from Oc-
tober 12 1907 to November 6 1907
amounting to thirteen hundred dollars.
Its charter was also cancelled and tho
company ousted.
Guy Collett of Austin has been np-
pointed receiver of 'both companies
with instructions to advertise tho pro-
perties for sale by December 7.
The judgment of sixty two thousand
dollars against the Standard Oil Com-
' ;pany of Indiana will bo enforced in
garnishment proceedings against the
Gulf Colorado & Santa Po railway.
The judgment of seventy five thousand
dollars against the Union Tank1 Line
-company will be collected if the re-
ceiver can dispose of the property in
hand to pay the fine.

B. F. Yoakum chairman of the execu-
tive board of the Rock Island and
Frisco railway systems. .The address
was delivered In convention hall be-
fore a large and representative audi-
ence of Texas farmers and business
men.
The- subject of Yoakum's address
was "Development In tho South the
Best Need of the Hour." He gave
practical views of taking the fullest
-advantage of the natural resources
and developing the state's agricultur-
al resources.

In all there arc some eight cases in
tho condemnation proceedings of the
Pecos & Northern Texas Railway com-
pany to be tried in county court this
term. In each cose the road has
brought condemnation proceedings
while the owners have brought suit'
for damages to property resulting
from the road passing through and
attendant on having railroad right-of-way
through the premises; Tho
road Is contesting the damage suits.
Besides these cases of the railroad
there aro several important civil cases
which aro docketed to come before the
court during next week which will be
the third and closing week. The dock-
et for the remainder of this week has
been practically finished.
