EL PASO May 10. Culdad Juarez has fallen. The Insurrectos captured
4ho city between ten and eleven o'clock and tho federals Immediately evacu-

the top of the municipal water tower in Juarez a sign to tho rebels all around
that city has fallen after two days and&iights of as destructive fighting
as any city in recent years has been subjected to. At ten thirty o'clock;
thirty minutes after tho old cnurch had been taken and the jail had been
emptied of Its unfortunates firing was still going on in parts of Juarez but
it was believed to be by people who had not learned of the turn of e.ents.
BLANCO ARKIYES WITH REINFORCEMENTS.
Gen. Navarro commanding the federal troops was said by insurrectos to
have left the city with his whole command In the direction of Bauche when
Blanco's men entered the city. The rebel reinforcements met with no re-
sistance from tho foderals who saw in their coming the end of their hopes
and the failure of the forts to save the city.
MADERO INFORMED OF VICTORY. -
A mighty cheer from the insurrectos near the bridge shortly berore eleven
o'clock was the first Blgnal that they had captured Juarez. Then a lon
horseman leaning low over the neck of his pony galloped towaru luauuiu
headquarters to Inform the provisional president of tho victory and the
Juarez house toopa became alive with rebel fighters. Seventy-five prisoners
liberated from the cuartel came swarming Into Bl raso. juauoro uii6cu

tion of Navarro's retreating army.
FEDERALS ABANDON POSITION.
At ten thirty tho insurrectos had everything in town every 'federal posi-
tion having been abandoned and the entire federal force retreating to the
" southwest. The retreat of the federals was covered by a few sharp shooters
on tho top of the old fort in the southwest part of the city. Garibaldi with a
detachment of Insurrectos destroyed all the liquor In the city. American
surgeons Drs. J. L. Wilson and O. A. NelBon with hospital supplies entered
Juarez at 10:45 to care for the wounded. They were aghast at the grim
spectacle that met their gaze. A small bandof federal volunteers were still
fighting at ten forty-five from behind the jail. Fifty were taken prisoners by
the rebels. Major Juan Royal of Blanco's force claims he saw Navarro's
forces going south at nfne thirty o'clock. This Is believed an error.
BLANCO WINS DAY- FOB BEBELS.

of capture. Seventy-five men stormed the Jail broke it open at n Ine for y
