Sam Vaughan of the Hodges commu-
nity was in Abilene Monday on busi-
.ness and In talking of the high prices
for which bacon and lnrd arc selling
ho said "I have salted down four hogs
that weighed net 130.0 pounds and I
sold ono for $3900 and I have five
coming on for next year. But that's
not? all" he continued "I sold 527
pounds or butter and D80 dozen eggs
during last' year." There's not only

a farmer as Mr. Vaughan.
