Baptist Meeting.
The protracted meeting at the
Baptist church began last Sunday
morning as announced. Rev. G.
W. Owens of Marshall is doing the
| preaching and Mr. Grady Metcalf
of Marshall is leading the singing.
A tent has been erected on the beau-
tiful grassy church lawn and the
services are held under it. Mr.
Owens is an attractive preacher
who holds the close attention of his
hearers. His preaching abounds in
striking illustrations. Mr. Metcalf |
is a good, unspoiled song leader.
The business houses agreed to close
their doors for the morning service,
from 10 to 10:50. The pastor ex-
tends a very hearty invitation to
the public to attend all these ser-
vices.
