DRT MEETS
AT PITTSBURG
The Anson Jones Chap-
ter of the Daughters of the
Republic of Texas met at
the home of Mrs. Ray-
mond Reeves at Pittsburg
last Wednesday with ten •
members present.
Mrs. W. A. Ford led
the opening prayer and
the roll call was answer-
ed by each member nam-
ing some Christmas or-
nament they had made
or had used through the
years.
For the program, Mrs.
G. W. Keeling gave
Christmas story, "He
Passed Through" by A. B.
McDonald.
The green Christmas
tree decorated with red
velvet bows, white doves
and Christmas balls held
a gift for each member.
The refreshments were
served in the lovely din-
ing room decorated for
Christmas.
ents.
Mix well and drop onto
greased cookie sheet and
cook at 350 degrees in
oven for 12 minutes.
If you do not have all
the spices in the recipe,
use 3 teaspoons allspice.
Loyce likes to cook,
especially if she has an
unusual recipe. But with
her job In he business
office of the .^avid Gran-
berry Hospital and a
family of four to care
for, there isn't much time
left to experiment in the
kitchen.
She and her husband,
Richard, live in Omaha.
He is employed by C. A.
Hackett at Lone Star Steel
Company. They have two
children, Dena, who is 5-
years old and Todd, who
is 4. They are members
of the Omaha Baptist
Chux'ch.
Most of Loyce's activ-
ities are with her family.
They enjoy camping, not
the easy way either with
a camper, but the old
fashioned way with a tent
and an open campfire.
Her favorite pastime,
when she isn't with her
family, is playing bridge.
Try these unusual
cookies and please your
family this Christmas.
