IMPROVING
LOOK IN
CUB SCOUTING
A GREAT PROGRAM FOR
BOYS
M
a j or improvements in the Cub Scout program to
make it even more attractive to boys and leaders go into
effect this month.
The revisions, the product of nearly 5 years of intensive
study and preparation, are aimed at increasing Cub Scout-
ing's natural appeal for boys and providing more help for
volunteer leaders. Scouters on the national and local coun-
cil levels are confident that the improvements will strength-
en Cub Scouting where it matters—in packs and dens and
in the lives of individual Cub Scouts in ever corner of the
Nation.
Reflecting the improvements, new books have been pub-
lished for the 10-year-old Webelos Scouts, the Weblelos
den leader, and the Den Leader coach. All other Cub Scout
literature has been updated, and both the new and revised
books and booklets are now in stock at every Scout dis-
tributor's store and in many local council offices.
