Mr. Haden and family came In last
week from a visit but we did not learn
where they had been
Joe Capps had the misfortune to lose-
one of bis work horses the other day.

hands. Mr. Smith has left for Audra- to
live' arid Mr. Co'ti3cJr'inow- lives on the
place Mr Smith sold to Mr. Burleson.
We hated to see Mr. and Mrs. Smith
leave us as they aro good people b'ut
we got good people In their places.
Mr. and Mrs. Compton gave the
young folks a party last Saturday
night. There was a large crowd pres;
ent and all seemed to have a splendid
time. Miss Cara deserves many compliments-as
a good hostess.
Mr. and Mrs. Bush gave the young
folks an' Ice cream supper last Friday
night and all Teport a nice time.
Red Williams last week sold his
crop to Tom Blgham and bought Mr.
McFathers crop on Mr. Hughes' place
and will move there In a short time.

terribly injurod and mangled is not
precisely known. Sho entered tho ele-
vator at tho ground floor and when In
tho act of gottlng out on tho second
floor tho elevator started downward
and Sister Donnls bocamo caught be-
tween tho elevator and tho shntt. Sho
was dragged downward In tho woll in
tho very narrow open spaco. Ab tho
elevator stopped at tho bottom Bomo
ono pulled tho rope but pulled It tho
wrong wny and it again stnrtod up and
camo back dragging tho body with It.
Dr. H. A. Bnrr was nt tho hospital
at (tho time and Immediately took
cnargo of' matters doing ovorythlng
posslblo to qxtrlcato tho elstor from
her position of frightful pain and tor-
turo and to administer to hor relief.
SIstor Dennis was fatally Injured nnd
her death Is expected at any tlmo. An
examination of tho body shows that
it was frightfully mutilated being
smashed and bruised nnd tho Intestines
crushed. Tho olovntor Is ono of the
