size of the props produoed
' With: only his little brother to
hdlp him and .very little hired
as8istanpoat small oost he made
enough feed to-run his teams and
his fathers horses and cattle
through another year and be-
tween 25 and 30 bales of ootton.
Of this his father sold 20 bales
to one man for more than 81100
and the balanoe at fair figures
running his year's earnings up to
considerably more than $100 a
month for the whole twelve
months. With such work as this
the boy could pay for a good
farm in three years and support
the family while doing so.
We are glad to commend the
work of suoh a boy and glad to
know that a boy who has been
with this papor has shown him
self to be a man and has won the
standing among his neighbors
that Columbus has won for they
all speak of him in tho highest
terms. May ho never fall below
the standard he has sot. for him-

securing the agreement to olose

won. tho gratitude of the public
