Tho Chinese are said to have made
oil out. of cotton seed over two thous-
and years ago.
In 1730 the first English cotton oil
mill was erected-In-Gloncaator.V It is
still. In operation; 176 years 'afar it

At the present 'time' 190G there aro
seventeen oil mills in England.
