Sachse Public Library's open house on January 26,Was a great
success and many residents and city official were present to
help celebrate it. Sonne of those present were: L to R: Dee

Bill Grant; City Council.
City Election April 5, 1986
City of Sachse will hold an election on April 5, 1986.
Sachse voters will be voting to elect three (3) persons to serve as
councilmembers and be voting to elect a mayor.
The position of mayor will be to serve a one (1) year term. Coun-
cilmembers will be elected to serve a two (2) year term.
The mayor will be elected for a one year term only because of the
resignation of Jim Anderson as mayor in 1985. Mayor Pro-Tern Henry
Luman was appointed to serve as mayor until the next city election.
Councilmembers who are now serving and their seats will be for elec-
tion are, Eldon Gordon, Bill Stewart and Paul Bartholomew.
For those who are interested in filing for any of these seats that
will be open and voted on in April filing dates and information follows:
Election day will be April 5, 1986, candidate filing date began on
JANUARY 20, 1986 and the last date a candidate can sign up to be
placed on the April 5 ballot will be FEBRUARY 19, 1986.
Other information for Sachse's registered voters follows:
First day for submitting applications for absentee voting by mail
is February 4, 1986. Last day for applying for absentee voting by mail
is March 28, 1986.
First day for voting absentee by personal appearance is March 17,
1986. The last day for absentee voting by personal appearance is April
1, 1986.
Election will be held on Saturday, April 5, 1986 at City Hall from
7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. for the city election to elect a mayor and three
councilmembers.
CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
MEET ING CHANGED
In February the monthly meeting
of Sachse Chamber of Commerce
will be changed. The date has been
changed to Wednesday, February 12,
1986 to accommodate our speaker,
U.S. Representative Steve Bartlett.
And. for this luncheon only, the
place has also been changed. Sachse
Chamber of Commerce will meet at
First Baptist Church on Third Street
in Sachse.

following information: Sachse
Chamber of Commerce Luncheon,
WEDNESDAY. FEBRUARY 12,
1986 @ 12 NOON, FIRST BAPTIST
CHURCH on Third Street in Sachse.
