of America has 80 members this year.

Miss Bylinda Ann Skelton,
a junior at Ray high school in
Corpus Christi, has been se-
lected to serve as a member
of the famous Tex Ann Choir.
The choir competes in all
of the state activities.
Miss Skelton, the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. James Iron
Skelton, a former student
at Pewitt high school where
she was elected cheerleader
for the 1984-65 school year
but declined to move with her
family to Corpus Christi.
She plans to continue her
education in music after she
completes high school.

All the teens would like to

pany for the wonderful party
Saturday night. Two free
meals at the Community Inn
were given to Cindy Sandlin
and Sondra Bell for winning
first place in the fast dance
contest.
We also extend our thanks
to "The Extremes" for such
good entertainment. The group
consists of Mickey Wall, Doug
Loffer, Ronnie Franklin, Ric-
key Wall and Danny Munkres.
We all enjoyed refresh-
ments of punch and iced cake
squares prepared by Mrs. Pat
Coker, Mrs. Dorothy Loffer,
Mrs. Bobbie Franklin and Mrs.
John Paul Jones.

The Pewitt Young Farmer
and Homemaker chapters met
Tuesday night in the home-
making room at Pewitt school
for a covered dish supper and
business meeting.
The Young Farmers will
hold their officer election the
fourth Monday in October.
The first program of the new
year will be presented then
on feeds and feeding of live-
stock.
