Our first quarterly conference
held at the church Saturday was
well attended. Rev. Shelton of
lied Water-Maud Charge brought
the message at 11 a.m. A bounti-
ful lunch was spread at 12 o'clock.
Immediately after lunch the bus-
iness session was called. A splen-
did report was given by each
church. We hated to give up

Nuture designed the kidneys to do a
marvelous job. Their tusk is to keep the
flowing blood stream free of an excess of
toxic impurities. The art of living—life
itself—is constantly producing waste
matter the kidneys muat removo from
the blood if good heath is to endure.
When the kidneys fail to function as
Naturu intended, there is retention of
waste that may cause body-wide dis-
tress. One may suffer nagging backache,
persistent headache, attacks of dizsiness,
getting up nights, swelling, pulfiness
under the eyes—feel tired, nervous, all
worn out.
Frequent, sennty or burning passages
are sometimes further evidence of kid-
ney or bladder disturbance.
The recognized and proper treatment
is a diuretic modicinc to help the kidm ys
get rid of excess poisonous body waste.

Rev. Pagan brought two fine
messages Sunday. At 11 a.m. he
took his text from I'salms empha-
sizing the distinguished guest that
we should each feel present—Christ
at all times and our behavior to-
wards this guest. At evening ser-
vice he emphasized laying the foun-
jdation for the building of a Chris-
tian character using the four
stones — Honesty, Truthfulness,
Cleanliness, and Christlikeness.

This Christmas...as on past Christmases
... the load of long distance calls will be
heavier than crowded telephone lines can
handle promptly. Critical materials have
gone to distant fronts, and are not avail-
able to build extra lines.
So, during the Christmas holiday rush,
your help is needed. If your call will not
aid somehow to pass the ammunition,
please consider whether you can give it
up. To faraway points especially . . and
to busy war centers . . . try to leave the
lines clear for the calls that must go
through.
