mance to the music camp at Hot
Springs, Ark., last Sunday and
visited members of the Atlanta
band who are attending a two-
weeks training school.

10-day leave from the navy train-
ing center at San Diego, Calif.
Sgt. Olin Hall is here from his
army camp at El Paso, Texas,

a minor operation at Ellington
hospital Tuesday morning.

ed Jerry Chamblee at the St.
Michael hospital in Texarkana,
Sunday.
Mrs. Alice Taylor is home af-
ter a month's visit with her son
Sherman, and family in Talco.
Mr. and Mrs. Pete Glass of
Dillon, S. C., arrived Monday for
a week's visit with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Glass.
Mrs. Bethel Taylor spent the
week end in Jacksonville, Texas,
with her husband.
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ingamells
and Mrs. Bill Terry, daughters of
Mr. and Mrs. Hardy MeWilliams
left Wednesday for their home in
Pasadena, Calif.
Gwendolyn, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. H. L. Glass, entered the
Meadows-Draughon business col-
leg in Shreveport, last Monday.

There was good attendance at
prayer meeting Saturday night
and our pastor, Rev. George
Endsley, brought a wonderful
sermon after prayer meeting.
Everyone has a invitation to at-
tend prayer meeting every Satur-
day night. Let's everyone that can,
attend church this week end as
this is our regular preaching date
and Rev. Endsley is bringing some
wonderful sermons. Our regular
preaching date is the second Sat-
urday night, Sunday and Sunday
night. Prayer meeting every Sat-
urday night and Sunday school
every Sunday morning.
Mrs. Dock Sprayberry and two
girls visited awhile Monday after-
noon in Mrs. Ben Colyer's and
Mrs. 0. Q. Thomas' homes.
Mrs. Fred Brimer spent Tues-
day in Mrs. Dock Sprayberry's
home.
Cpl. Robbie Land, who is stat-
ioned at Leesville, La., has been
visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Henry Land and other relatives
for the past 10 days.
Mrs. A. C. Gibson and Mrs. B.
English spent awhile Tuesday
afternoon with Mrs. Ben Colyer.
Mrs. Earl Allison spent Thurs-
day with her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Alton Lummus.

and Mrs. Ben Colyer, awhile

Seth Arledge's home Sunday af-

Mrs. Dock Sprayberry; and Mr.
and Mrs. A. C. Gibson.
Mr. and Mrs. Van Webster and
two children, Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Land, and Cpl. Robbie Land visit-
ed friends in Vivian, La. Sunday
afternoon.

Pvt. Herman Colyer is still real
sick in the hospital at Fort Lewis,
Washington. We wish for him and
all the other sick ones a real
speedy recovery.

is planning a big home coming eel
ebration Sunday June 24, reports

will be SS at 10 a.m., and preach-
ing at 11 o'clock. Special music by
the gospel quartet in the morning.
Everybody is asked to bring a
basket lunch at noon and enjoy
the fellowship together.
Rev. Leslie Hanson will speak
after dinner. Time will be allowed
for talks by former members and
friends. Special music by the Mem
orial Quartet.
Rev. Robert Kalb, new pastor,
invites everyone who once lived at
Laws Chapel to attend this big
home coming.
