Attention in nailed to the back
of this issue of the Sun. The
business men and firms whose
names appear at the bottom
have entered iuto contract with
us for one pa^fi a month for ODe
year, on which they will discuss
some community problem of iu
terest to Linden and her trade
territory.
Last month the page was an
announcement, of the organiza-
tion of the Circle. This month
it. sets forth the different business
interests of our town, showing
that we have most Bvery line of
business that we need to make
it a well-rounded, progressive
community.
Next month they will begin
with some subject of interest to
the community. None of the
subjects will be dwelth with in
long, drawn-out discussions, but
each will be short, spicy, to-the
point paragraphs. They believe
a good thought driven home in
a few words is better than along
tiresome article which very few
will read. Watch for their page
as it appears from month to
month.
To the Voters of Cass
County.
The July primary campairi is
nearly ended, and I am taking
this method of expressing my
sincere appreciation to all of my
friends and supporters for their
assistance thus far. Due to the
fact that. I have been spending
most of my time in portions of
the district where I am least
known, there are numbers of vo-
ters and friends that I have been
unable to see in person, but I
wish to say to all of these that I
shall appreciate their support
and 1 feel that each one realizes
the handicap I have been uuder
which has prevented my seeing
each one personally.
Aeturing you of my deepest
appreciation for everything done
in my behalf, I artr, Sincerefy.

Several Reason Why We
Should Vote for Dr. J.
A. Dodd for State Sena-
tor.
Dr. Dodd has not attempted to
prove his fitness for the State
Senate by parading our streets
with decora-ed cars; but has at
more than sixty places discussed
his record and platform. These
discussions have proved Dr Dodd
to be a man of sound judgment,
a frieud of tbe people, and a well
qualified man to represent us in
the State Senate.
Let us not be swept off our feet
by show and parade; but let us
look to our own in terest and vote
for a man, who has demonstra-
ted from the stump as Dr. Dodd
has done, his ability to defend
our rights in the great law-mak-
frig body of our state. Most
respecfully, C. E; Fant, and
many others.

Indians Win Another
Game.
The Indians defeated the Green-
Team Sunday in a rather one
sided came, the scon; of which
was 10 to ]. in favor of the home
boys. The Greenville manage-
ment was expected to brinir a fast
bail club here to play us, but they
rather failed in their efforts.
Greenville detected the Linden
Team three straight games last
year, so our boys naturally sup-
posed that they would bring a
good team here this time. Of
course their team was all right,
that is it would be against some
teams. *
Aycock, diminutive left hander
pitched for the locals and exhibi-
ted a nice brand of twirling. He
allowed only t bits, walked and
hit 3 batsmen and struckout 5
Greenville batters.
The Indians got 10 bits and 10
runs off the pitching of Lanna-
bam and Banks, the Greenville
pitchers.
Waskorti Team Here
Next Sunday.
Sunday July 29th at 4 o'clock
the Indians will do brittle on the
home diamond with tbe Waskom
Texas, team. This team is repu-
ted to be very fast. They have
defeated some of the very best
amatuer teams of Shreveport<
"Alabama Jones," an ex leauger
is tnanaeer of the Waskom team.
Come out and see the game and
boost the boys. They are play-
ing good ball this year and it is
tbe inteution of the management
to bring good ball clubs here so
that the fans will have chance to
see some real ball playing, but of
course we get fooled iu some of
the teams but on the whole the
fans get their moneys worth.
Don't forget next Sunday at 4
o'clock. Waskom vs. Linden.
