SAVINGS
For convenience sake,
Calumet Baking Powder is
packed in 10, 20 and 30-cent
sizes.
For 30 cents you get a
pound (16 ounces) net weight.
full
Of course, the larger the size
the bigger the saving in buying—but
remember that the 10-cent size shows
a double saving compared with most
other brands.
The value of Baking Powder is
quality not quantity. It is leavening
strength that counts. You cannot
judge it by the size of the can nor the
amount you get for your money. You
must determine its worth to you by
what it does, not by what it is, by the
amount you are required to use in your
baking and the results it gives.
A 10-cent can of Calumet will
go twice as, far as a 10-cent can of
most other powders.

Long-Lost Ring Restored.
A Goodstone (Surrey) lady has Just
recovered her wedding ring, which dis-
appeared five or six years ago while
she was feeding u calf.
It was thought the animal had swal-
lowed the ring, and as it could not be
found the culf became known as "the
gulden cow."
A few days ago the cow was pur-
chased and killed by an Oxford butch-
er, who, being informed of the lost
ring, made a search and discovered the
ring embedded in an Internal organ.
The ring has been restored to the
owner.—London Mail.
The Cause of It.
"What a ringing voice yonder girl
has." ' Well, Isn't that the right kind
of a voice for a belle?"
Accidental French.
An American lady in Paris wanted
some water, but could not inake the
'maid understand she wanted it hot.
After several vain attempts she ex-
claimed in disgust, "Shoo!" The maid
brightened up suddenly, went off and
returned with a pitcher of hot water.
It was not until some time afterward
that the lady learned from a friend
that the girl had evidently misunder-
stood "Shoo!" for "cliaud," which Is
the French for "hot." — Richmond
Times-Dispatch.
