Texas and Brownwood have cause
to be proud today because of the fact
that Texas boys have won national
and International running events. In'
the Amateur Athletic Union meet at.
'Pittsburg Saturday Gwynn Henry of
Brownwood won the 100-yard dash
from all comers defeating his old ri-
val Rosonberger with ease. In Lon-
don Fred Uamsdell also of Texas
won the 100-yard dash and the 220-
yard dash of tlie English meet. It
was expected that Ramsdell and IIen-
ry would meet at Pittsburg but the
champion Ramsdell saw an oppor-
tunity to carry off the English hon-
ors and crossed the pond and partlc-i
ipated in the meet at Stamford Bridge
on Saturday. The big Texan was pit-
ted against runners from Canada Ans-
I- tralla and practically the whole of
Europe but he won with ease in the
"slow time of J02- seconds. In the
Pittsburg meet Henry of Brownwood
was pitted against some fast young-
sters and ho did the distance in 10
flat which is pretty fast. time.
