ity on the Colorado river was In
Brownwood Friday looking after bus
iness and while at the Bulletin of
fice gave an accounting of his cotton
raising efforts for tho year. On three
and a half acres Mr. Rice raised two
and a half bales of cotton. He sold
the lint of the two bales for $220 and
the seed for $58.50 and has 375
pounds of seed cotton left "And I
did It all with a mule and a Georgia
stock" concluded Mr. Rice. This
well known farmer was 73 years old
December 11 but is still active
and
strong.
