are in the city to attend the meet

W. P. Bucy accompanied by his
wife and son is here with John G
Adams and is attending the.meet
ing. He is from Rising Star and
is a brother-in-law of Mr. Adams
Mr. W. A. Posey of Indian
Creek was at the tabernacle ser
vice yesterday. Mr. Posay is one
of of our best citizens and always
takes an interest in religious meet
ings.
Mr. S. G. S. Thomas and his
family are here from Blanket with
tenting outfit prepared to spend the
week and -enjoy the meeting. Mr
Thomas says he has already been
paid for his trip.
The people began to come in
from the Umntry yesterday and the
town was tilled with people. They
have only just started yet and when
Brother Jones gets here the crowd
will be immense .
One section Sunoay night con-
tributed forty cents to the cause
when the hat was passed and in
another section the hat was quietly
placed under a seat and was not
found by the collector until after
the service.
The Comanche Chief calls atten-
tion to the fact that Sam Jones will
be here to give the devil a chase
and prays that he may reform some
of .the godlesB editors the Chief
having given up the task. Do you
remember the old saying of the pot
calling ihe. kettle black.
Mr. W. H. TaVbot the popular
hotel and restaurant man has leas-
ed the Rankin House and is now
running that and che Club Restau-
rant. Persons attending the meet-
ing or at court cannot do better
tlian to stop with Mr. Talbot who
is as fine a hotel man as we have
in this country.
