issued to every army post in the
United States Sunday to prepare the
troops for instant field service.
Major General Boll recently reliev-
ed from command of the. Philippine di.

In the intercollegiate debates er
Saturday night Howard Payne was
extremely unfortunate losing both
sides of the question under consid-
eration. In the debate here Messrs.
Dean and Pyle defended the affirma- 1
tive side of the income Tax question i
against a team from Decatur. The
judges for the debate here were Mer -

of Dublin and Prof. Townsend of Bel-
ton. The decis'on of these judges
awarded the debate to the visiting ;
team.
At Greenville Messrs. Matlock and
Taylor presented the negative side of
fine question in -debate with Bur-
