QUESTION: 'Why should /
be a Christian?'
ANSWER: I am glad you
asked me, instead of a person
who loves the world and its
sinful practices.
The world would tell you in
a very convincing way that
you don't ever need to be a
Christian. The world teaches
that a holy life will interfere
with happiness and an
enjoyable life of immortality.
Remember this when you
listen to the radio, watch TV
or read certain magazines or
newspapers. Some ads would
lead one to believe that
immoral conduct will help you
climb the social ladder.
I will give you several
reasons why you, and
everyone else, should choose
to be a Christian.
(1) A Christian has a Savior
-- John 10:10.
(2) A Christian has a home
prepared for him -- John
14:1-4.
(3) A Christian has been
cleansed of all past sins ••
Mark 16:15-16,.
(4) A Christian is in Jesus
Christ -- Galatians 3:27.
(5) A Christian is in Christ's
church -- Acts 2:47.
(6) A Christian has been
born again -- John 3:5.
(7) A Christian is a new
creature -- Romans 6:3-4.
(8) A Christian enjoys the
grace of God -- Ephesians
2:8.
(9) A Christian bears the
fruit of the Holy Spirit in his
life -- Galatians 5:22-23.
(10) A Christian is the one
who is given the task of
teaching the lost -- Mark
16:15-16.
(11) Christians love the one
who died for them -- John
14:23.
(12) A Christian has a
written guarantee of heaven
-- Revelation 2:10.
The sinner enjoys none of
the blessings we have de-
scribed. The sinner has noth-
ing to look forward to in

Pastor
Why are you so afraid of the
Holy Ghost? Or should I say:
Why are you not afraid of the
Holy Ghost?
For generations, people
have been led to believe that
the Holy Ghost is an "it."
From a thousand voices,
millions of written words, and
an attitude that has
permeated the Christian faith,
we have been programmed to
think of the Holy Ghost as
"tongues" rather than as a
person or a someone.
"Tongues" have been
classified as the Baptism of
the Holy Ghost. And because
of this mis-classification,
millions who have been
touched by the Holy Ghost
have ceased to grow
spiritually. Clergy have
adamantly rejected the many
gifts that have been given
unto men. Ephesians 4:8 says
that Jesus ascended up on
high, he led captivity captive

and gave gifts unto men. Why
don't you understand that
captivity was you and it was JP
me? God sent his son down
to earth and made him a little
lower than the angels.
How could he ascend unless
he first descended? Jesus
coming down to earth means
that He did not come as a rich
and powerful man as men
know riches and power. Even
though He came as king, he
did not come as a king. He
gave gifts unto men through
the gift of the Holy Ghost.
So what about the person of
the Holy Ghost? Does He
have a mind, a will and
emotions? Her certainly does.
He even speaks and hears.
John 15:26.
Would you agree that He is
Spirit? That is part of his
name. But what about his
inner being? Is he a person?
Romans 8:27: Now he who
searches the hearts knows
what the mind of the Spirit is,
because he makes inter-
cession according to the will
of God.
The mind of the spirit is
distinct from that of the
Father and the Son.
Ephesians 4:30, do not
grieve the Holy Spirit of God,
by whom you were sealed for
the day of redemption. Yes,
He feels pain.
Romans 15:30, I beg you,
