Crosbyton City Council
discussed during the regular
July council session Tuesday
night a request from the
Frlenda. of the Crosbyton
Branch of the Cr&Sby County
Library to designate "the
southwest area of the city
square as a location for the
future site of a Crosbyton
Public Library Building." The
matter was tabled pending
further study.
The letter revealed that the
Friends of th6 Library have
present plans for a 71x51 foot
rectangular structure. They
pointed out that space avail-
able on the city square In-
cludes 87 x 132 fet

Leatherwood scored four times,

the plate three times, Fletcher and
Palacios each scored twice.
REYNA CAREER ENDS
Highly successful manager Felix
Reyna ended his Little League
career Tuesday night. Reyna has
managed the Braves and the Cros-
byton All-Stars to championships.
Bob Beckham was the All-Star
coach.
Shallowater sht out Cooper 13-0
in the Tuesday opener for third
place honors.
FLETCHER PITCHES
MONDAY VICTORY
Behind the strong pitching of
Darren Fletcher, the local All-Stars
sent four funs home in the fifth -
inning to down stubborn Cooper 6-2
In the Monday nightcap. Crosbyton
broke the scoring ice with a pair of
runs in the second. Cooper tallied
single runs in the third and sixth
stanzas, the latter on a home run.
Fletcher went the route on the
mound. Catching diJties were
handled by Alex Farias.
Center fielder Dee Leatherwood
knocked In two runs while Mooney
Palacios, Jeff Taylor, and Fletcher
each had one RBI. Fletcher crossed
home base twice and single runs
were scored by Paul Murillo, Shawn
Hargrove, Palaciso and Leather-
wood Taylor, Leatherwood, and
Fletcher each had two hits while
safeties also were delivered by
Lonnie Reyna and Palacios.
Wolfforth used three big Innings
to garner their runs in a 16-4 verdict
over Shallowater in the tourney
opening Monday night.
